PROJECT SUMMARY

To help build, sustain, and develop a community focused on smart cities and infrastructure, Kaunas University of Technology partnered with other organizations to develop a digital twin of the city’s built environment. They used Bentley applications to not only develop a precise, city-scale digital twin, but to also incorporate technology that can analyze indoor climate conditions and optimize building energy consumption. The team plans to use the digital twin to determine how to incorporate renewable energy sources, including solar panels, into the university grid.
